Institutional Healing Water Gardens
Patient wellness as design criteria becomes the prime consideration in healthcare facility design. A variety of feature types and scales allows for patients to alter their level of interaction with water. Geysers, basins, rocks and waterfalls all have a unique appearance and sound that can increase a patient’s solace and response to treatment. Water has been successful in increasing a level of inner peace and channel a patient’s attention to help them focus on what is really important at the time…their health. Water becomes the music for mediation in a Healing Garden.
